i love train tracks. union pacific has a line that goes pretty much all the way up the coast. it's so... i don't know how to describe it. alluring, maybe. it's kinda awe-inspiring to think that this same track runs by the street i lived on when i was a kid on the central coast, along the mountainside across the valley from the ranch i used to keep my horse at, past my friend's apartment in santa cruz, and about a mile from where i live now. looking at the tracks stretching out before me and turning gently around a curve to some unseen destination gives me a feeling of longing- and adventure- to follow it where ever it may go.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
